Vendla means "selling hands" — built for the people actually running the counter, not a boardroom.
Why we built this
Most South African shops already sell on WhatsApp — because that's where their customers are. But the business itself is running on a single person's personal phone: no history, no handover, no control over customer data. When that person is offline, so is the shop.
Vendla exists to fix that, without asking you to give up WhatsApp or your existing number. We built the platform we wished existed for the small businesses we know — ZAR pricing, plain language, and a team that answers when things go wrong.
What we believe
You pay Meta directly
We never mark up a WhatsApp message. Our fee is the platform — message costs are a transparent pass-through, at Meta's rate plus a small buffer.
Keep your number
Coexistence-first, always. We will never design a flow that forces you onto a new WhatsApp number.
Config, not customisation
Every shop is different, so the platform is configurable — not forked. What works for you improves the product for everyone.
POPIA by default
Consent, timestamped and stored, on every contact. Not legal homework you bolt on later — it's how the product works from day one.
